What this website does not collect

This website has no forms. There is nowhere on it to enter your name, your date of birth, your diagnosis, your medication, your insurance, or anything else about you or your care. Nothing of that kind is collected here, stored here, or sent anywhere from here.

That is deliberate. Referrals and patient information travel through channels built for them — our secure portal, fax, or a phone call — never through this website.

What we do collect

We keep our own basic statistics about how the site is used, so we can tell which pages are helpful and which are not. For each visit we record:

• the pages viewed, in order, and how long each was open;
• the website or search engine you arrived from, if any;
• an approximate location — country, state, and general area, never a street address;
• the kind of device and browser used;
• the date and time, and how quickly our pages loaded.

This information stays on our own server. We do not sell it, share it, or use it for advertising.

How we keep that anonymous

We do not store your IP address. When you arrive, your address is combined with a secret key that we change every night and converted into a scrambled value that cannot be turned back into an address. Those secret keys are then destroyed after 45 days, which makes the scrambling permanent — not even we can undo it afterwards.

Because the key changes nightly, we cannot recognise you from one day to the next, and we do not try to. Where a general location is recorded, it comes from a coarse version of your network rather than your exact address.

Cookies

This website uses no cookies at all and stores nothing on your device. Our statistics are collected without them, and we use no advertising or third-party tracking. That is why you are not being asked to dismiss a cookie banner.

Links to other organizations

Some links take you off this website — to our secure upload portal, to patient documents published by Vital Care, Inc., to a payment portal, or to Burnham Drugs. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's website, under their privacy policy, not ours.

How long we keep it

Individual visit records are kept for up to 400 days and then deleted. The secret keys described above are destroyed after 45 days. After that we keep only day-by-day totals — how many visits a page received, for example — which contain nothing about any individual visitor.

Attributions

The approximate location described above is determined using a geolocation database rather than by asking your device where you are.
